At a meeting between the Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Sirojiddin Rajabzoda, and the heads of the university departments, a wide range of issues related to the scientific activities of the faculty were thoroughly and seriously discussed.

It was emphasized that although the university’s scientific performance is noteworthy, significant shortcomings are still observed in the work of department heads and faculty members.

The meeting highlighted the need to intensify the university’s research activities, including the preparation and submission of commissioned research projects for 2026.

Serious attention was also given to the admission of students to master’s and doctoral programs, the training of scientific and academic staff, the improvement of the university’s research infrastructure, the publication of articles in foreign journals, the attraction of international students through social media and advertising, as well as thorough preparation for subject Olympiads and national competitions.

Faculty members who do not have scientific publications and who have not defended their dissertations in a timely manner were given a specific deadline to successfully complete this work.

Strengthening the activities of dissertation councils and ensuring the regular conduct of dissertation defenses was another key focus of the meeting.

In conclusion, it was expressed that eliminating the above-mentioned shortcomings would contribute to enhancing the university’s research performance.

Appropriate decisions were adopted on the issues discussed.
