On February 27, 2026, a scientific and educational session of the “Khiradmand” forum was held at the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni on the topic “Strengthening National Self-Awareness in the Process of Secular State-Building.”

The event was opened with welcoming remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of History and Law, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor M. Karimzoda.

In his speech, he noted that patriotism, national self-awareness, and devotion to the Motherland are concepts whose understanding is a vital duty of every citizen of Tajikistan and must be continuously developed in their determination and will.

During the session, Nozim Nurzoda, Head of the Department for the Formation of National Identity and Popularization of Science of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, delivered a substantive presentation on strengthening national self-awareness in the process of secular state-building.

It was emphasized that the formation of national self-awareness and identity in the context of globalization processes acquires special significance and plays a key role in ensuring social stability and preserving state independence.

In the modern era, globalization, accompanied by the development of information and communication technologies, has become a kind of challenge both for individuals and for humanity as a whole. Under such conditions, in order to preserve state independence, it is necessary to strengthen national self-awareness within the framework of ancestral values and historically established traditions, as well as to educate the present and future generations in this spirit.

At the conclusion of the event, as a sign of respect, the guest of the forum, Nozim Nurzoda, was awarded a Letter of Appreciation from the Rector of the University.
