2,000 SAPLINGS PLANTED WITHOUT ATTRACTING ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL RESOURCES
On March 2, 2026, at the initiative of the leadership of Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni, a tree-planting campaign was held within the framework of the “State Program for Greening the Republic of Tajikistan until 2040.”
The event was conducted in accordance with the land allocation schedule between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and the country’s higher professional education institutions. It took place on a 1.7-hectare plot allocated in the territory of the Choryakkoron rural jamoat of Rudaki District (former Y. Rajabov farm).
During the campaign, 2,000 saplings of fruit-bearing and shade trees were planted, including elm, wild apple, cherry plum, sweet cherry, persimmon, hawthorn, and atsasa. The saplings were prepared following the recommendations of specialized experts, including representatives of the Faculties of Biology and Chemistry, at the university’s agrobiological laboratory, and were planted on the land plot assigned to the university in the Choryakkoron area without attracting additional financial resources.
This initiative was implemented as part of the action plan for greening and environmental improvement and contributes to the development of green infrastructure, as well as to raising environmental awareness in society.
