On March 6, 2026, a republican conference entitled “Conditions for Maintaining Psychological Well-being in the Environment of General Secondary Education Institutions and the Role of Teachers and Specialists in This Direction: Problems and Ways to Solve Them” was held at the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni.

The conference was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the 95th anniversary of the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni. Representatives of higher education institutions, research centers, experts in the field of psychology, as well as teachers and specialists in the field took part in the event.

The conference began with an opening address by the Rector of the University, Ahliddin Ibadullozoda, which was delivered to the participants by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Sirojiddin Rajabzoda. In the speech, the importance of strengthening psychological health in the educational environment, the role of teachers in shaping the healthy personality of students, and the need to enhance cooperation among specialists in addressing existing issues were emphasized.

During the conference, participants presented scientific reports. In particular, the Rector of the Islamic Institute of Tajikistan named after Imam A‘zam Abu Hanifa Nu‘man ibn Sobit, Doctor of Theology, Professor Abdualim Akhtam Akhtamzoda, delivered a presentation on “Spiritual Values as a Guarantee of the Psychological Well-being of Adolescents and Youth.” He emphasized the important role of moral and spiritual values in shaping a healthy personality among the younger generation.

In addition, the Director of the Center for Islamic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Doctor of Law, Professor Abdurahim Kholiqzoda, presented a report titled “A Look at the Sources of Extremist Actions: Deviant and Delinquent Behavior from the Perspective of Legal Psychology.” In his presentation, he explained the socio-psychological factors behind undesirable behaviors and ways to prevent them.

Furthermore, the Head of the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Tajik National University, Associate Professor Somon Latifzoda, delivered a report on “The Role of Teachers in Maintaining the Psychological Health of Students,” highlighting the responsibility of teachers in creating a favorable psychological environment in educational institutions.

Also speaking at the conference was the Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Lohuti Sharifzoda, with a presentation titled “The Process of Democratization of Society as an Important Factor in the Development of the Political and Legal Culture of Society.” He analyzed the relationship between the development of political culture and social stability.

At the end of the conference, participants exchanged views on issues related to protecting students’ psychological well-being, preventing psychological problems in the educational environment, strengthening the role of teachers, and enhancing cooperation among scientific and educational institutions. A number of useful proposals were also presented.
