On May 7 of the current year, a meaningful meeting with students of various faculties of the university was held in the cultural hall of the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature building of Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni, in cooperation with the Directorate of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe.

The event was organized within the framework of the university’s action plan and focused on important contemporary issues, including civic responsibility, respect for national values, promotion of national culture, prevention of youth involvement in extremist and terrorist organizations, non-official religious teachings, alien cultural influence, superstition, as well as prevention of drug and psychotropic substance use.

The meeting was attended by the university supervisor from the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe, Senior Lieutenant Tabarov Shahriyor, Head of the Education Department Karimzoda Davlatsho, Head of the Youth Affairs Department Murodov Muhammad, faculty deans, education staff members, and deputy deans for educational work.

At the beginning, the Head of the university’s Education Department, Karimzoda Davlatsho, opened the meeting, introduced the guests to the audience, and warmly welcomed them to the institution of knowledge and enlightenment. In his speech, he emphasized that the university administration, following the wise and constructive policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, continuously organizes educational and awareness-raising activities aimed at countering terrorism and extremism. It was highlighted that combating such negative phenomena is the sacred duty of every patriotic citizen, and that young people must be educated in the spirit of patriotism, self-awareness, and humanism.

Then, Senior Lieutenant Tabarov Shahriyor delivered a speech on preventing youth from joining extremist groups. He noted that today extremist organizations use social networks and various information channels to influence the minds of young people. In such conditions, strengthening patriotism, national consciousness, and respect for state values was identified as one of the key ways to protect society from modern threats.

During the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature, Farrukh Khudoidadzoda, also spoke about the importance of education and upbringing, students’ responsibilities, and compliance with internal university regulations. He emphasized that students must respect and observe the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, avoid improper use of social networks, value national culture, and strive to improve their knowledge and actively participate in competitions and Olympiads.

At the end of the meeting, a question-and-answer session was held in a lively and friendly atmosphere. Students asked various interesting questions on the discussed topics, expressing their keen interest in the issues raised. The speakers provided clear, well-grounded, and specific answers to each question, offering useful recommendations and insights. The exchange of views was considered educational and beneficial for participants, and such meetings were regarded as important for strengthening worldview, patriotism, and the legal, political, and cultural awareness of young people.
