The Flag, Сoat of arms and Constitution, along with the pillars of statehood, are considered national shrines of each country. The main essence of the flag is to unite people to achieve a common goal. As follows from the pages of the rich history of our people, one of the first flag-bearers of our people was Kova the blacksmith, who fought to destroy the foundations of cruelty and tyranny and gain freedom and independence. For many centuries, the flag has been the pride and pride of our ancestors, and among the symbols and pillars of their statehood, it occupied an honorable position.

When we look at the history of our people's past today -at the beginning of the twentieth century - we clearly see that our ancestors lined up under the banner and sacrificed themselves to protect their borders and their boom.

In the east, the flag was first mentioned in "Shahnameh "Firdavsi as "Dirafshi Kova". Dirafshi kovieni was the flag of all the legendary kings and the national flag of Iran in the Kushan and Sasanian treaties.

The national flag of Tajikistan in the form in which it exists today was adopted in November 1992 at the 16th session of the historic and fateful meeting of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan in Khujand city.

In 2009, the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan approved amendments to the law on holidays and celebrations and proclaimed November 24 as the Day of Honoring the National Flag.

This flag gives us not only glory, but also awakens and perpetuates in us a sense of patriotism, ignites in us love for the Motherland. The flag is an expression of the character, needs and reflection of the natural and spiritual wealth of the nation. Loyal, incorruptible, honest, decent people who advocate peaceful coexistence, unification of mental abilities, and mobilization for war gather under the banner.

In the rich Tajik literature, the flag is found in the form of the word "dirafoon". This is most often found in narratives related to monotheism. Dirafshi kovieni meant solidarity with himself in the defense of Mehan, Faridun in the stories of elder Tusi "Shahnameh" raised the banner of shame and dishonor and spoke out against the injustice and unrest of his time, uniting his brethren under this banner.

On August 30, 2011, the opening ceremony of the world's tallest mile of the national flag was held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Emomali Rahmon. The height of the national flag tower is 165 meters, and at the top there is a downpour reaching 30 meters wide and 60 meters long, decorated with three historically sacred flowers for our people.

It is deeply attested that the red color on the flag is the struggle and dedication of the people in the name of freedom and independence, white is white luck and purity, green is the efforts and labor of residents in the name of greening our Homeland. The image of the crown on the flag symbolizes the sovereignty and independence of the country, seven stars are seven climates, seven stars are brothers, seven layers of the sky

Today, in our independent Tajikistan, this pillar of statehood is also treated with special respect. The national flag of the Republic of Tajikistan symbolizes the true independence of Tajikistan. The national flag is always a symbol of patriotism, a symbol of the identity of the nation, a symbol of loyalty to the Motherland, love for the homeland of ancestors, a symbol of perseverance. This banner contains the honor, dignity and youth of our noble people. Therefore, may this national flag always fly in the calm atmosphere of the country and lead people to do good deeds such as kindness, peace, beautification, beautification, prosperity and prosperity!
